Phi Sigma Pi, Gamma Theta Chapter

(2020-2023)

Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is a gender-inclusive national honor fraternity based in the United States. The purpose of the organization is to foster the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. A. Basse is a member of the Gamma Theta Chapter based at Louisiana State University.

In the 2022-2023 year, A. Basse served as the President of the Gamma Theta Chapter. The President serves as the liaison with the National chapter as well as a conflict resolution member within the chapter. Furthermore, they preside over meetings and are the point of contact for the organization to the public. The National Delegate is sent to represent the chapter at National Convention in which they debate bylaw/constitution changes and cast their vote on behalf of the chapter.

President

Parliamentarian

A. Basse served as the 2021-2022 Parliamentarian on the Executive Board of the Gamma Theta Chapter. The Parliamentarian role serves as a member of the Executive Board and chair of Trial Board. They are responsible for the upkeep of our governing documents and maintaining order during Chapter and E-Board meetings.

Class President

In the Spring of 2020, A. Basse served as her Alpha Omega Class President. Each inducted class has class officers including president which presides over meetings and ensures their peers meets class requirements throughout the course of the intake semester.

Big Little

Every semester the Big Little process occurs to match incoming members with an older member to guide them through the process of initiation and welcome them into the Fraternity. Over the years, A. Basse has had three Littles from two separate classes.

A Basse was the recipient of the 2021-2022 PSP Gamma Theta Chapters Outstanding Leadership award.
