
Student Advocacy
Throughout her time at LSU, A. Basse has been a Student Advocate in many ways including serving as a Student Representative on a number of LSU Committees.
The Student Technology Fee at Louisiana State University is dedicated to the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and intelligent use of state-of-the-art technology solely for the purpose of supporting and enhancing student life and learning and of preparing graduates for the workplaces of the twenty-first century. A. Basse has served on the committee from December 2020 to April 2023.

IT Governance Council
The IT Governance Council evaluates and prioritize the demands upon enterprise technologies, oversee data access, evaluate and monitor progress on Enterprise IT activities, and ensure that enterprise IT activities are aligned with the objectives of LSU’s Strategic Plan. A. Basse served on this council from September 2020 to April 2023.
In Summer 2022, A. Basse attended the UNA Leadership Summit. The conference emphasized the joining of forces to advocate for a strong U.S.-UN partnership. Throughout the Summit, A. Basse and other attendees met and spoke with legislators and governmental officials about projects UN is involved in and how they effect everyday American citizens.

Sexual Assault on LSU Campus
In November of 2020, USA Today released an article that lead to a variety of problems about LSU’s handlings of Title IX cases. Since then A. Basse has helped to communicate student issues to administration in the form of serving on the Temporary Committee on Sexual Violence Prevention, playing an active role in the development of the Title IX office, and reviewing the findings of the Husch Blackwell Report.
In Spring 2016, the LSU student body voted to establish a Sustainability Fund to be used for projects related to sustainability, which will be proposed by students, faculty and staff. A. Basse served on the committee from January 2021 till April 2022.
